As evening falls, join us for a lantern-lit walk through Alnwick’s quiet streets to Midnight Mass at St Michael’s. On your return, warm mince pies and hot toddies await by the fire, a gentle close to a magical Christmas Eve.

Christmas morning begins slowly, with a peaceful breakfast and time to savour the joy of the day ahead. Behind the scenes, our discreet team ensures everything flows effortlessly, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy.

Later, indulge in elegant canapés followed by a showstopping Christmas lunch, with live music softly setting the tone. In the evening, settle into the Garden Room or Motte & Bailey for a relaxed supper of artisan charcuterie, served with a local tipple from Ad Gefrin in nearby Wooler.

On Boxing Day morning, take your time. Enjoy breakfast in bed, or join us downstairs where the fire is lit and the coffee freshly brewed. For those choosing to extend their stay to a third night, we invite you to embrace the slower rhythm of Northumberland at this special time of year. Your evening meal is included – and should you wish, we’d be delighted to add something extra to your itinerary. Perhaps a peaceful winter walk along Alnmouth Beach?

And when the time comes to leave, our concierge will bring your car to the door, place your bags gently in the boot, and see you off with a smile, until next time.
